General AI chat draws on opaque training data and can invent plausible-sounding answers. Hokma is an AI tutor with citations: every answer is retrieved from a vetted library, your own documents, and sources you choose, and every claim links back to the exact book and page. Around that engine sits a full reading and study workspace: a multi-tab reader, quizzes, flashcards, mind maps, knowledge graphs, and audio overviews.

Answers are built only from the sources in play: Hokma's curated library, your uploads, and (when you want it) the live web. If the sources don't contain an answer, Hokma says so rather than guessing. Every response shows numbered citations you can click to jump to the original passage.

A professionally digitized, continually broadening collection across disciplines, readable in full inside the app and used by the AI for cross-referencing and deeper answers. Hokma retrieves across hundreds of volumes in under a second today, and the library is architected to grow into the tens of thousands.

Yes: PDFs, Word documents, audio, video, images, and web links. Everything is automatically processed and indexed, so you can search it, question it, summarize it, and generate study material from it, right alongside the built-in library.

Your uploads and notes are yours. They're protected by secure authentication and role-based access control, are never added to the shared library, and aren't used to train models. Institutions get organization-level controls on top.

Translation runs throughout the app: translate a highlighted passage inline, read a whole book in your language, keep the original and translation side by side, and get the tutor's answers in the language you prefer.
